This section describes how to use the on line services now available on the web. The system is updated on a nightly basis so data should be accurate and timely. For the first time we have been able to provide an on line catalogue of all the product lines we stock in addition to further detail on products we can make to order. We are in the process of building up the product information which includes pictures. Products are organized in hierarchical drill down order: by division, sections and then product groups. This allows you to see similar products. Alternatively enter key words to search for specific products or codes. We have deliberately kept picture quality to the lower end as the more pixels we display the slower the site is. It does give us a mechanism to communicate the basics to you as we can always supply you with samples once you have narrowed down your requirements! In addition to catalogue data we can now advice you of any existing special offers. These change on a regular basis. All prices are net of VAT. To help you place orders, what ever time of the day, we now provide on line ordering. The services available to you for ordering will depend on whether you are a new or existing customer. Please consult the guidance information below. Existing Customers If you are an existing customer you should already have an account on our main accounts system. Our on line web services are linked to this system. To give you your own unique access to the web please contact us to obtain a user id and password. The site will then provide data which is unique to you and you will be responsible for orders placed using your ID. As a result we must emphasise the importance of keeping your User Id confidential! The currency of your main account will be replicated on your web account. We have designed services for existing customers to show web orders placed and the traditional products you order. This includes a fast order entry template as well as the other catalogue services. You can also amend your buying pattern templates for example to include new products. These new products (by definition not sold to you within the last 12 months) will be displayed with POR against the price i.e. price on request. Once we receive the order we will phone you back if there are queries with the order placed e.g. shortages / alternatives / prices etc. As the web becomes more popular we will enhance the services provided based on customer feedback. New customers You do not need to have log in User ID to access the product catalogue. We have included an order build (Basket) function to enable you to email us the products you are interested in. We will then email or phone a price back to you. Please inform us if you need a Euro rather than Sterling price. Our staff can then guide you as to setting up an account and arranging delivery. You will then have access to the facilities available to existing customers should you wish. Summary If you have any recommendations please do not hesitate to contact us!
